Artistic Director – Janielle Scott

Janielle Scott’s performing and teaching experience is extensive. She has performed across China and parts of the United States with Visions Dance Co. in British Columbia, as well as choreographing and dancing with 12^th Ave Dance Co. in Calgary. She has had the privilege to be selected twice to train at world-renowned Jacob’s Pillow in Massachusetts and with teachers from the Alvin Ailey School, Toronto Dance Theatre, Brian Webb Dance Co. and the Bella Lewitzky Dance Co. in Los Angeles. Janielle holds a registered G.M.C.C Diploma with Distinction in Dance and Performance, and is a proficient teacher of the ADAPT syllabus. She is pleased to continue teaching her love of dance for her twelfth year. 

Janielle Scott is a freelance choreographer and the director of Exisdance Movement Co. and  Exisdance Projects. As a dancer and teacher, she has an eye for detail and precision. As a dancer, she performs as a founding member of the 12th Avenue Dance Company. Her ability to instruct and clearly communicate enable her to successfully train other dancers. Last year she enjoyed directing the dance auditions and all choreography for the musical theatre production of "Carousel" performed in Lethbridge Alberta. She is also enjoying teaching modern dance at the University of Lethbridge where her students are learning to choreograph some great work themselves!

Importantly, she is a technically proficient and innovative choreographer. Her choreography offers many styles and is thoughtful, inspirational and refreshing. Janielle’s creativity and enthusiasm can add intriguing and challenging dynamics to new choreography, classes or workshops.

Exisdance offers choreograpy for groups of dancers large or small, for all types of venues and performances, e.g., groups, solos, duets, trios, quartets, in modern, jazz, tap, and lyrical styles.

Janielle is birthing Alberta's newest youth repertoire dance company: Exisdance Movement Co.

Exisdance Projects is the subsidiary dance academy dedicated to exposing audiences and individuals to exciting and creative dance experiences through innovative performances and unique classes and workshops.
